A very good thing happened....

Tuesday. Perry's friend Anthony fixed my computer. Bless his heart he worked on it for over 4 hours. It now has genuine Vista windows again, the sound is back working, and I have strong Internet security for 2 years. The only sad thing is the Super Scattergories game probably won't work. I didn't try to install it. I do not want to do anything to disturb the smooth operation of my finicky computer. It is a bit of a prima donna. Now I need to go to Time Warner and get a wireless router so I can use my mini laptop and upgrade my Kindle. I am also proud to report Anthony did not choke to death on dust mites in my scrap room...Whew, I was worried about that.

Here I sit...

counting the days until Perry is off work for a few. He has had a good two weeks.  I thank everyone that has prayed for him to be busy. Perry hates standing around all day waiting for a job. I think he said he ran about 94 hours this pay period. That is very good. He has been very tired and the heat is still awful. I still pray that Pep Boys will build in Paris. That would be wonderful. I would love to move out of the metroplex and get to be near my sisters. Also, it would be wonderful to be in church there. I dream on, dream on....

I was so proud of myself...

before noon today I had run the vacuum over all the floors, swiffer dusted every surface, made the bed, mopped the floors, taken my bath, even put on makeup..washed a load of clothes, made our big dinner salads....then suddenly...I had a stomach situation the rest of the day...At least I got to be in a clean bathroom during my distress...oh dear TMI

Just checking in.....

although I have nothing much to write. Perry is off work today and tomorrow and we plan to grocery shop and rest. As I write this he is off to Sam's to restock our tuna and water supply. We are going through a lot of bottled water. I made tuna salad on Monday and because I only had a few cans it was a small one. We did not get our fill so I guess I will be making that sometime next week.

Joy has called me every day since the surgery.  She is healing nicely but has taken off work until the 25th. I have not seen her. I will miss my time with Lauren. I have loved her visits. We are true movie watching buds. Lauren is very excited about the coming school year. She will be attending college, high school, and cosmetology all year..3 different campuses, it tires me out thinking about it. It should keep her busy!

Lord, I pray for rain. Perry is enjoying the reduced lawn work but we need it bad. He is having to water the lawn both of the 2 days allowed so I expect a huge water bill next month..YUCK!

I miss my sisters! Wish I could see you. You better be taking care of yourselves!!!

Lord, help us.....

everyone. I kind of paraphrased this from Tiny Tim of 'A Christmas Carol'. Lord, what is going on? So much discord..so many sick. I, I don't think I have ever been so unsettled in my spirit before. All I can say is ..Lord, help us everyone..about everything...and please Lord, let it be now. We are all growing weary and war torn.

It's almost a manic Monday.....

but today is Sunday. I miss church. I understand how Mom went all those years not going. Once you cease regular attendance it is hard to get back in the groove. Going to church in Paris last Sunday brought back the joy you get from worshipping with other Christians. As Zita reminded me Jesus went to church and , if Jesus felt like He needed to go to church who am I to not go? I know I am in need of more help in spiritual things than Jesus. I have never fooled myself into believing I am god-like...quite the opposite. I don't know how He stands me but I am glad he did enough to call me out.

Perry is working. I pray he gets through the heat today safely. I miss my sisters. You are daily in my prayers.

Don't want to beat a dead horse to death....

but,  here I am alone..again. Perry is working. I have paused a dvr'd movie about 4 times, trying to watch it and stay interested. I guess I could go to the store. We need lettuce and potatoes. I've had a hankering for tuna salad sandwiches and potato soup. Perry plans to do the yard work this evening after work. He is going to Bob's on one of his days off (Monday or Tuesday) to work on his friend Anthony's car. Anthony is buying the parts to fix my car. Struts and springs..I think.

I drove this week. Lauren came over and I drove my car to Angelo's to eat. It was hot in the restaurant so we got take out containers and went home to watch a movie and eat in the cool.

My energy level is less than zero these days..the heat is awful. It is like I know that even though I am in the cool...how weird is that?

See, I told you I have nothing to write about..so I am rambling a bunch of uninteresting junk...

check in more often. My life is a bit dull .... not too much going on right now. I enjoyed the vacation time with my sisters. Zita was gracious to let me crash at her house and play games with me late into the night.

de-clutter more
scrap more
get back into my photos

and most of all PRAY more, spend more time in the Word, and be a better person.
