but today is Sunday. I miss church. I understand how Mom went all those years not going. Once you cease regular attendance it is hard to get back in the groove. Going to church in Paris last Sunday brought back the joy you get from worshipping with other Christians. As Zita reminded me Jesus went to church and , if Jesus felt like He needed to go to church who am I to not go? I know I am in need of more help in spiritual things than Jesus. I have never fooled myself into believing I am god-like...quite the opposite. I don't know how He stands me but I am glad he did enough to call me out.
Perry is working. I pray he gets through the heat today safely. I miss my sisters. You are daily in my prayers.
My Sunday was very lazy. Jordan and I went to Sunday School. He did pretty good and Nita took him to class so I didn't have to leave early. I wish you could be in church with us.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well. I keep praying that God would sheild Perry from the heat. When I passed the bank this evening it said the temp was 107 but my thermometer at ome just says 101 an hour later so I don't know if it was actually 107 or just an error. Either way it is plenty hot. I had the air off while I was at work so it was hot in my house.
It is really hard to get back into the habit of going to church but it is usually worth it when you go. I know how hard it is for you with Perry working some Sundays but id you found a place close to home it would not be too hard for you even if you attended your regular church when Perry was off.
I pray you have a good night, a good day, a good week, etc......
My Sunday was lazy..I didn't even dress..didn't today either. Just bathed and put on a fresh gown.

ReplyDeleteI tried to istall pictionary again but It still would not work even after quicktime offered me a download of the same one the game said was needed. I guess the disc is faulty. O well. I miss our games.

Perry's friend Anthony is going to come over soon and try to either fix my Vista or he is going to install Windows 6. Perry says he is very good with computers. I ordered a Mere Griffen Crosswords and Super Scattergories but I cannot install or play them because of the sound not working. I miss our game playing too. Joy is having elective surgery Friday. Keep her in your prayers. Lauren spent most of the day with us. I have been praying in earnest about Beth. Zita, I am trying to think on good things but I feel so uneasy about everything. I feel so off center. I want to ALWAYS do what pleases God.

Well, our week went from Monday to Friday sitting in the hospital. I do feel like it was a necessary visit, tho, I am pleased with all that got accomplished and we will start again next Monday with agressive treatments toward the cancer. I still believe and wish for healing. God is able and God is faithful. GOd is good and therefore we can stand against all that floods us! I am so ready for the rainbow
