this has always been one of my favorite halloween songs. I remember how animated mom could relate it! The kids at Lollypop loved it, too
ReplyDeleteI guess you could say this song is a Halloween standard. I was shocked to see how many variations in the song lyrics were out there. I think this is closest to the one we sang. Mom could sure bring songs to life...any song.
ReplyDeleteNo telling how old this song is..Mom sang it before I started to school..so she probably sang it in school..Nikki and Joy sang it, Nick and Lauren too...just that time frame is pretty long.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember mother singing this to me. I learned it in the first grade at school. Wish I remembered that. I do it every year at Lollypop. My bulletin board for October is always The 5 Little pumpkins. I have seen more than one version as well but I usually just sing it the way I remember it (Which may or may not be right) LOL.
